The Width of Life pays tribute to the late Dave Pegg.
Pegg, the “King of Rifle,” was a talented writer, publisher, climber and route developer. After moving from Sheffield, England, to Colorado in 1996, he
became a leader in the Western Slope climbing community.
The Width of Life, a documentary that premiered April 23 at the 5Point Film Festival in Carbondale, Colorado, explores Pegg’s extraordinary legacy through a local climber, Dan Mirsky’s, struggle to complete one of Pegg’s unfinished
routes and ultimately understand the man who developed many of the crags on the Western Slope of Colorado.
Pegg took his life in November of 2014, leaving a community deeply mourning.
