Game over—after five days of work, Jimmy Webb has made the fourth ascent of The Game (V15/8C) in Boulder
Canyon, Colorado this weekend.
"Cold conditions today in bocan but things seemed to work out,” Webb wrote on Instagram. “On my first go of the session I sent 'The Game' V15. Feels so
good to finish it off just before rolling back home.”
Daniel Woods claimed the first ascent in February 2010 and suggested V16 for the grade. Carlo Traversi repeated the problem in March 2011, downgrading
Woods re-climbed The Game using Traversi’s beta and agreed with the downgrade, but also noted that the holds Traversi used (overlooked on his
FA) had improved, likely due to extensive brushing. Jon Cardwell confirmed the V15 grade when he made the third ascent.
One day before his send, Webb wrote on Facebook: “This Boulder for me is one of hardest things I've ever tried. All the positions are foreign to my body
type and it really feels like something I shouldn't be able to do.” Webb finished up the problem on his first attempt on the fifth day. At six feet,
he’s the tallest person to send The Game.
